In: Egyptian journal of sheep and goats sciences 2009.v.4(1)Summary: The aim of this work was to study how body condition score (BCS) of Ossimi ewes (no.=362) at mating could be reflected on fertility, fecundity and prolificacy traits. Ewes were scored for body condition which employs a 1 to 5 score scale with an interval range of 0.5 point. Ewes were synchronized for estrus with PGF2a and were introduced to fertile rams to be handmated. Breeding season of ewes extended from the 1stof September to the end of December 2007.
