The vine mealybug, Planococcus ficus (Signoret) (Hemiptera: Sternorrhyncha: Pseudococcidae) is one of the most important pests infesting grape in Egypt. It attacks all plant parts and feeds mainly on phloem sap. It is also considered as a vector of viruses. This review will deal with host plants, distribution, parasitoids, predators, abundance and biological studies, as well as control measures of this pest in Egypt.
