In: Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal 2003.v.49(98)Summary: The purpose was to study the incidence and degree of follicular atresia in buffalo-cows in relation to follicular size and stage of the cycle. Genital tracts (n=21) were collected from local abattoir. Estrous cycle was classified into early luteal, luteal and follicular phases. Follicular populations were categorized into large, medium and small follicles. Ovaries were processed histopathologically. Their follicles were classified into non- (NA), light- (LA), moderate- (MA) or sever-atretic (SA).
