Toxocariasis is a common zoonotic parasitic disease. causing many problems in human beings es· pecially children. Studying the prevalence of Tox· ocara among dogs and cats in Cairo and Giza revealed infection rales of 14.6% and 5.2% in dogs and cats by faecal examination respectively. Adult worm of Toxocara were present in 18.75% and 7.4% of examined intestinal samples of dogs and cats respectively. Soil samples were collected from different public parks proved to be the major source of infection, where Toxocara eggs were detected in 13.8% of examined samples.
