N2  - Eleven isolates belonging to Aspergillus Section Flavi and of different ecological habitats were used for studying their RAPD profiles using two primers. The isolates included one Aspergillus oryzae isolate, eight Aspergillus flavus and two Aspergillus parasiticus isolates. Both primers succeeded in differentiating the three species grouping the isolates of each species more or less away from the other. The study reveals the role of the environment on the polymorphism of the isolates as revealed from the linkage distance relating the isolates of the same species to one another and to isolates of other species
