A grecnhouse pot experiment was carried out to study thc possible usc of Azalia pinnata as altemative nitrogen source for rice production. Three rice varieties, i.e., Giza 177, Sakha 101 and 102 were exposed for diflerent treatments comprising the applicatioll of Azolla, urea or their different combinations to accomplish the rccommended nitrogen dose of 60 kg N fed-· for rice cultivation.
