Enterobacter sakazakii has been implicated to be a rare, but lifethreatening cause of outbreaks and sporadic cases of neonatal infections, particularly in premature underweight babies. The prevalence of E. sakazakii in powdered and hydrated infant formula milk (IFM) collected from Egyptian pharmacies and hospitals in Ismailia City was investigated using FDA enrichment procedure.
