Serum progesterone level showed little changes among weeks 9,7 and S prepartum. Then the levels decreased significantly (P<0.05 weeks 9, 7, S and 3 to reach a minimum level (P<0.01) at the timing parturition. The serum progesterone level kept minimum « 1.0 pg/ml) up to weeks Sand 9 after parturition in early and later conceived respectively. Then the level started to increase about 1 pg/ml 9 week after birth in early conceived. Serum estradiol 1 7p increased progressively from 4.19 ± 0.7pg/ml weeks 9 before birth to a beak (99.53 ± 25.98pg/m1) on the day of parturition (P<0.05), the differences among weeks 9th to 5th prepartum were non significant Then the levels sharply drop to 2.83 ± 0.31 and 2.1 ± 0.27pg/ml one week after birth (P
