Agric., Zagazig Univ., to study the effect of mineral NP (NP) and nitrobein (Nr) + phosphorein (pr) on yield, quality and storability of garlic under sandy soil conditions. Fertilization of garlic plants with 100% mineral NP in combination with 3kg Nr +1.8kg ~r recorded maximum yield of lit and 2Dd grades, total yield, exportable and marketable yield and average bulb weight, except yield of second grade in the 2Dd season since 100% NP + 4.5kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr recorded maximum yield of second grade while, Nr +Pr only at different rates .recorded minimum values. Application of 75 % NP and 4.5kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr and with4.5kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr only /fed gave the highest yield of third grade in the 1st and 2D seasons, respectively. While 75°A. or SO NP with all biofertilizers levels only gave the highest yield of fourth grade in the lit and 2nd season. Application of 100% NP + 3kg Nr +1.8 kg Pr/fed recorded maximum values of N, P, K, total carbohydrates and total protein in bulbs, 100% NP + 4.5 kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr /fed recorded maximum values of nitrate content in bulbs, 75 % NP +4.5 kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr /fed recorded maximum values of volatile oil in bulbs and with Nr + Pr only at three levels recoded maximum total soluble sugars and pungency in bulbs. Fertilization of garlic with 100% NP +3kg Nr+l.8 kg Pr and with 100% NP +4.5 kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr gave the highest values of emaciation percentage in bulbs during storage in the lit and 2nd seasons, respectively. Also, 100% NP only or with all biofertilizers levels recorded maximum sprouting percentage in bulbs during storage in both seasons. Mineral NP at 100% + 3kg Nr +1.8 kg Pr /fed recorded maximum values of weight loss percentage in bulb. aSummary in Arabic. 0aGarlicxFertilizers. 0aGarlicxStorage. 0aGarlicxYields. 0aSandy soils. 0aGarlicxQuality. 0aNitrogen fertilizers. 0aBiofertilizers.1 aEl-Mansi, A.
