(hymenoptera. megachilidae) based on artificial nesting site data figures in Ismailia KW - Hymenoptera KW - Egypt KW - Megachilidae N1 - Includes references N2 - The field observations based on the data obtained fror,n the the artificial nesting site of Megachile ,uniformis (A.) , revealed that the initiat activity of females started from the first week of April till the first week of June. The reable occurrence of males lasted for 37-42 days and for the females 56-57 days. Bees started their daily activity after 9a.m. they were most active from II a.m. to 5 p.m. with peak at 1-3 p.m. The highest number of females loaded with pollen was from J-3 p.m., whereas the highest number of females loaded with leaves was from 3-5 p.m. Females were most active during the first week of may. The activity then decreased, thus reaching its minimum at the fourth week of the same month. Bees completely disappeared by the end of the first week of June.
