The inheritance of earliness, grain yield and some grain quality traits for five populations P1, P2, F1,' F2, and F3) of three crosses, Milyang 54 x saldui 101, Pi No.4 x Salcha 103 and Dular x Sakha 104. were evaluated under water deficiency conditions. The present investigation was performed at Sakha Agricultural Research Station, Salcha, Kafr EI Sheikh, Egypt, during 2006, 2007 and 2008 summer seasons. The results indicated that highly significant and positive or negative estimates of heterosis were recorded for all studied traits in all crosses, except for days to 50% heading in all crosses; and plant height, panicle length, grain yield /plant and milling %, in (cross I).
