The experiment was carried out on 300 apparently healthy Oreochromis niloticus with an average body weight 6.30±O.3l gm obtained from Abassa Fish Hatchery at Sharkia province. The best result of growth and immune response were obtained in fish fed diet supplemented by Bacillus subtilis followed by Bacillus subtilis in water as prophylactic measure. While the therapeutic effect of Bacillus subtilis on fish groups treated simultaneously in water was better than that of diet. Using antibiotic as a bath treatment was more efficient when the infection take place. In conclusion, the tested commercial Bacillus subtilis was suitable for O.niloticus to improve their growth performance, immunity and challenge to Staphylococcus epidermidis UR - http://nile.enal.sci.eg/EALE/2011/ZVJ/3911/1/10.pdf ER -
