Two field trials were conducted at the Experimental Farm of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of the NRC, Dokki, Giza, Egypt, during the two successive seasons 1998 and 1999. Cultivation of the seeds of Catharanthus roseus G. Don. in the nursery was performed on 14th of February then transplanted on 15th of April in both seasons. The trials included three times of foliar application of indole acetic acid (IAA), phenylalanine or methionine at 50 or 100 ppm levels on the plants.
