<br/><br/> A total number of 152 Golden Mountazah chicks of 24 week-old at the beginning of laying was used in an experiment that lasted 12'weeks to evaluate the effect of supplemented layer diets at different levels of Nigella sativa seed meal ,NSSM, (0.5, 0.75, 1%) under hot climatic conditions of Upper Egypt. Egg production parameters, feed conversion, hatchability, egg shell quality and inferior egg contents measurement were studied. The results showed that. 1- Birds fed supplemented diets with 0.75% NSSM were the best one for egg number, egg mass, egg production, egg weight, mortality and feed conversion compared to the control group, followed in descending order by that supplemented with 0.50% NSSM. • 2- A significant increase in egg weight, albumin weight percentage and shell density was observed at the level of 0.5% NSSM. Shell weight percentage, specific gravity, Haugh units, shell thickness and SWUSA increased when diet supplemented with 0.75% NSSM.
