An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of preharvest calcium spray forms, i.e. (chloride and nitrate) on fruit quality of (Swelling and Met Ghamr) peach cultivars, at maturity and during storage at ambient room, during two successive seasons of 2001 and' 2002. Both cultivars were growing each in separated private orchard at Aga, Dakahfia Governorate. The sprays of calcium either in chloride or nitrate were carried at rate of 0.05,0.10,0.15 and 0.20% at 30 days before harvesting, control treatment was sprayed with only water. The results showed that Calcium foliar sprays of both forms increased fruit quality parameters, i.e.(firmness, TSS, acidity, chlorophyll, pectin and calcium), while it decreased anthocyanin and gave irrigular trend of TSS/acid ratio and caroteins contents compared with unsprayed ones.
