Sandy soils are amongst the most extensive soil in the new reclaimed lands of Egypt. Zeolite and bentonite minerals are naturally present in different geologic environment and bentonite was reported to be extensively found in sedimentary environment in Egypt. This study aims to evaluate the role of zeolite and bentonite minerals as amendments and characterize that ability for improving the status of micronutrients in sandy soil. Results showed that saturation of zeolite and bentonite with Zn, Fe, and Mn increased dramatically the available level extracted by DTPA.
