The gamasid mite Kleemenia kosi EI-Badry, Nasr and Hafez(Mesostigmata : Ameroseiidae) was reared at 25±2 °C and 75±2 % R. H. on five different diets (the astigmatid mites, Lepidoglyphus destructor and Goheria wahabeii, the fungi Fusarium oxysporum and Aspergillus niger and larvae of Musca domesticate). Also the obtained result clear that the lowest incubation period of K. kosi was noticed when males fed on the fungus A. niger (1.35 days), but the longest period recorded when the female individuals fed on the larvae of M. domesticae (2.9 days). From the obtained data also, it could be observed that the duration of life cycle for both sexes was affected by the type of food employed. However, adult longevity of K. kosi was influenced by the kind of f001 employed for female, this period lasted 37.69, 34.85, 25.39, 21.5 and 42.73 days when the individuals fed on aforementioned diets . These periods changed to 35.31, 30.95, 21.83, 16.65 and 39.27 days for males which fed on the tested diets, respectively. The experimented ameroseiid species K. kosi is oviparous. The fungus A. niger proved to be the most favorable diet as it give the highest reproduction rate (99.46 eggs).
