520 _aThe study was carried out on 106 non-gravid uteri of slaughtered ewes in Cairo slaughter house. Blood and tissue samples were collected and used for serological. bacteriological and histopathological examination. Endometritis was detected in 48.1 % of examined cases, which were divided into: non suppurative endometritis (33 cases), acute suppurative endometritis (6 cases), chronic suppurative endometritis (7 cases) and granulomatous endometritis (5 cases).Two cases of granulomatous endometritis showed spherical yeastlike fungi invading the epithelial covering.
