520 _aA field experiments were carried out atAshmoun region EI"Menofia governorate to study the effect or neighboring plant hosts, okra, marrow, cucumber, clover, wheat and maize and without hosts (dusty road) on the •popu1ation density of the two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae KOch on cotton leaves, The results• indicated that cultivation of cotton fields beside (marrow, cucumber and maize) as neighboring hosts and the dusty road can increase the mites abundance on the cotton leaves, so these habitats must be avoided beside the cotton fields.
