520 _aThe importance of epistasis in breeding population of maize (Zea mays L.) is not well understood. The objective of this study was to use the triple testcross design (TTC) to determine if epistasis effect significantly contribute to the performance of the high yield single-cross hybrid, Giza-10. Sixty random plants from the F₂ population of Giza-10 hybrid were crossed to both parents of this hybrid (Sd.7 and &1.63) and to their F₁ hybrid.
