520 _aS-progeny selection scheme was used between 1999-2003 to improve giza-2 white maize population for grain yield and earliness. In 2003, 86 S4-lines were crossed, as females, to line SK-5054 as a male tester to produce 86 top crosses. These testcrosses along with the check hybrid SC-10 were evaluated in 2004 for grain yield, number of days to mid – silking and plant and ear heights at three different locations.
