520 _aThe current investigation was carried out at Tokgh Agricultural Engineering Station, Kalubia Governrate to evaluate the developed chopper (Mohamed et aL 2001) with three kinds of crop residues (rice straw, cotton stalks and maize stalks). The developed chopper was operated using KUBOTA tractor (model L3600) 37HP with seven levels of rotor speed from 1000 to 2200 rpm equivalent to (25 - 55 m/sec) and three levels of ratio between feeding roll speed to cutting rotor speed (1:10), (1:12.5) and (1:15). Productivity (Py), cutting lengths percentage (PIc). consumed energy (CE), operating costs. internal rate of return (IRR). net present value (NPV), and pay back period (PBP) were estimated to evaluate the developed chopper.
