In: Annals of Agricultural Science, Moshtohor 2004.v.42(2)Summary: Applying some management methods (Genetic control by cross breeding between Apis mellifera lamerckii and Apis mellifera carnica), combination between the two methods genetic and chemical control and combination between the two methods genetic control and exposing colonies to sunshine, revealed the infestation level with Varroa mite especially in winter, spring and summer (from1/11/99 to 29/7/2000). Highly significant differences occurred between and through all treatments, date and interaction between date and treatments. Although combination between genetic control and culture control was effective but combination between genetic control and chemical control was the best way against number of dead mite fallen on white cardboard, strength of colonies through studies, except appearance of resistance in pure Carniolan race.
