Arenipses sabella Hmps. (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) is one of the most devastating pests that threats palm trees in Siwa Oasis, Egypt. The major loss is due to the larvae that chew the newly formed spathes underneath palm tree fibers and finally attack bunch stalks severely that break under the heavy weight of fuJI ripped date fruits. According to A sabella behavioural pattern, an environmental compatible control program was designed to combat this pest. The program depended on sanitation process and mutual bi-wcekly spraying of 2 bio-formulations (protecto and biover) to employ their different mode of actions on A sabella larvae. In order to insure accepted results, spraying process was oriented towards the base of spathes beneath the tree crown fibers immediately after being formed. At the end of the proposed program, infestation percentage in the treated tree group was about 20% compared to about 86% in the control.
