Following appearance of abortion and stillbirth cases in a sheep and goat ranch at the North Coast of Egypt ( Borg El-Arab ), a screening for toxoplasmosis by using indirect haemagglutination test (IHAT) and latex agglutination test (LAT) was carried out which revealed that 77 (34.68%) out of 222 sheep und 90 (41.67%) out of 216 goats were seropositive with IHAT and 71 (31.98%) of sheep and 82 (37.96%) of goats were positive by LAT. Females were more seropositive than males and the age of ≥3 years old as well. Awacy breed of sheep and demashky breed of goats had the highest incidence. The two tests were positively correlated at the titres of 1/64, 1/128 and 1/256.
