Organophosphorus (OP) pesticides are the major chemical class of insecticides used in the world today. They are widely used in pest management and has easy exposure to multiple organophosphorus (OP) compounds especially from dietary and other sources. . There is lesser information on the interactive toxicity of multiple OP insecticides. The aim of this study is to compare investigate the side effect of plant growth regulator Esrel and Reldan (OP) on some biological organ of mammals because of the possibility of the occupational exposure to the these compounds, and due to the facts that they may be found naturally in many edible plants. The present study was done for both compounds and monitor their side effects on biochemical and histological changes on rats by applying 150, 13.5 mg/kg body wt. /day for Esrel and Reldan mg/kg body wt./day respectively for 45 days.
