520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The present investigation was carried out during 2005 and 2006 seasons on Valencia orange trees (Seventeen years old) budded on sour orange rootstock grown in a clay loamy soil (at citrus farm belonging to Horticultural Research Institute at El- Kanater El Khayria, El-Kalubia Governorate, Egypt) to study the effect of different ratios of mineral nitrogen and organic (compost) fertilization with or without biofertilizer on fruit set, yield and fruit quality. The data showed that application of 75% mineral nitrogen + 25% compost with biofertilization significantly increased fruit set, yield and fruit quality followed in a decreasing order by 50% mineral nitrogen +50% organic with biofertilizer without any significant differences between them. While, the lowest significant values were obtained with 100% compost without or with biofertilizer, respectively, when compared with the above two mentioned treatments.
