"Sheep of the vales takes a look at native downland and lowland breeds of sheep in their own environments. Joe Henson views the various breeds, including the influential Southdown and the Dorset (both filmed in England and the United States) and the well known Suffolk. We also see the Lleyn in Wales and several breeds of European origin, now well established in Britain's lowlands . There is a special feature about the revival of sheep dairyin, and about the sheep that is the backbone of the world wool trade-the Merino. Some of the fines wool comes Shetland sheep" |
