Summary, etc. To study the response of Sakha 105 rice cultivar to nitrogen levels, i.e., without (control) , 110, 165 and 220 kg N/ha. under different time and methods ofits application, viz., T1: 100% basal, T2: 1/2 basal + 1/2 mid of tillering, T3: 1/3 basal + 1/3 mid of tillering + 1/3 panicle initiation and T.: %basal + ~ mid of tillering, two field experimental carried out in 2011 and 2012 seasons at the Experimental Farm of Rice Research and Training Center, Sakha, Kafr ElSheikh governorate, Egypt. The results revealed that raising nitrogen rate up to 220 kg N/ha. gradually increased plant height, flag leaf area, chlorophyll content, number of tillers/m2, number of days to heading, as well as number of grains/panicle and straw yield. However, moderate N rate (165 kg N/ha.) is considered the suitable dose which not only improved vegetative growth but, also produced maximum number of panicles/m2, filled grains percentage, as well as 1000-grain weight and grain yield.
