Summary, etc. A field experiment was conducted at El-Tina Plain, Egypt using barley plant (Hordiu Vulgare, L, Var., Giza 123,) during the winter season of 2007 / 2008 to study the effect of mineral-N and it's source with and without organic fertilization on: 1). The water table depth of El- Tina plain soils, 2). The dry matter cDntent, 3). The yield productivity and 4). The uptake of phosphorus and potassium. Nitrogen was added as antffionium sulphate (20.6% N), antffionium nitrate (33% N) and urea (46% N) at rates ranged from 50 to 125 kg N fed-1. Farmyard manure "FYM" (0.96% total N) was as the organic amendment at 3 Mg fed-1. The experimental design was a factorial randomized complete block design, involved 3 factors: 1) mineral-N source, 2) mineral-N rate, and 3) addition of "FYM". The experiment was irrigated by water of El- Salam Canal. Plant samples were collected after 45, 70 and 120 days from sowing; corresponding to tillering, booting, and maturity stages, respectively. Addition of FYM increased the depth of water table in the soil. Mineral-N fertilizers increased yield and PK uptake due to increasing N and FYM rates.
