Tow kinds of experiments were taken off (antioxidants and hepatoprotective experiments), The results showed that crude ethanolic extract of black nightshades ripe fruits has a strong antioxidant activity as showed by DPPH assay, nitric oxide scavenging assay, total reducing power assay, Fenton's reaction assay and total antioxidant capacity assay. Finally, the extract showed a valuable effects as hepatoprotective agent in vivo in liver damage of CCl4-treated rats represented by improvements serum total protein, albumin, globulin and remarkable reduce the activity of OPT, OOT and ALP as well as bilirubin and uric acid but urea unchanged in serum.
