Micro-nutrient manganese (Mn) management in calcareous soils is greatly influenced by the problem of high content and reactivity of calcium carbonate as well as alkaline properties associated to calcareous environment. In an attempt to use THIOPAQ elemental sulfur (TES) - which is biologically produced from petroleum sour gas refinery processes• as a soil acidifier, incubation experiments of soils with sulfur were carried out for periods extended to 20 weeks to investigate the effect of applied suffur rates on availability of soil Mn.
