Cairo University 2006.v.57(1)Summary: Paclobutrazol (PBZ) and potassium nitrate (KNO³) were applied for two scasons (2002 and 2003) on Ewais and Sidik mango cu!tivars to evaluate their etTect on Oowering and fruiting. Trees were sprayed with potassium nitratc at I, 2 and 4 %, meanwhile pacloputrazol was uscd as a soil drench at 2.5, 5 and 7.5 g per tree. The treatmcnts werc carried out at the first week of October. The results indicatcd that both paclobutrazol and potassium nitrate incrcascd the pcrcentagc of flowered shoots and advanced the datc of fruit sei. This increment was combined with increasing the used concentration. Panicle length, initial and final fruit set were increased with increasing potassium nitrate concentration.
