The main objective is to study the role of four tree species (Prosopis jullflora, Acacia saligna, Tamarix articulate and Casllarina equest(folia) in improvement of the under laying sandy soil. The results showed that the afforestation of soil play an important role in improvement of both fertility and chemical properties of the relevant soil. However, there are significant improvement of the soil properties which covered by Prosopis juliflora and Acacia saligna. Therefore, the above mentioned two species are recommended for a large scale afforestation and shelterbelts in the similar areas having the same conditions.
