Serum T3 levels significantly decreased (P<0.05) from day of mating to 4 weeks of gestation, thereafter, T3 slightly increased at the 10th week, then significant decreased (P<0.05) at day of Kidding. Serum T4 level was no significantly different between day of mating and 18th week. Thearafter, serum T4 levels decreased significantly (P<0.01) at the day of kidding. No significant differences were observed both in T3 and T4 values during post partum period. No significant changes were recorded between goats bearing singles and twins. Serum total proteins decreased (P<O.OI) with advancing pregnancy. No significant difference in total protein concentration was noticed between goats delivering singles and twins.
