In: Assiut Veterinary Medical Journal 2008.v.54(118)Summary: This study aims to evaluate the respective changes in arterial baroreflex function (changes in heart rate and respiratory rate in response to induced increase in blood pressure) in adult, middle aged and old male rabbits, as well as to assess the effect of aging on baroreflex sensitivity and baroreflex regulation of parasympathetic and sympathetic out flow. In addition, the baroreflex sensitivity was also studied in adult male rabbits rendered hypertensive.
