Where the emitters in microsprinkler system can work under low energy reduce and capacity than the conventional sprinklers type. The aims of this work are to compare the performance of different microsprinkler systems to study the factors affecting water distribution patterns of microsprinklers and to develop design criteria for microsprinkler irrigation systems. The water distribution under microsprinklers was studied in laboratory for two types of microsprinkler heads, spinner microsprinkler and rotating microsprinkler under the following experimental conditions: discharge rates 40, 70 and 100 l/h for spinner type, 50, 100 and 200 for rotating type 1, 150 and 250 l/h for rotating type 2: working pressures of 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 bar and nozzle heights above the ground 20, 40, 60 and 90cm respectively. The results indicated that the water distribution pattern of microsprinklers follows triangular shape for both types of microsprinkler heads, and that the wetted radius has a direct relationship with the discharge rate, working pressure and nozzle heights. The highest Christiansen uniformity coefficient and distribution uniformity were achieved under 2 bar operation pressure for both types and 20 cm and 40 cm nozzle heights for spinner and rotating types respectively. The effects of surrounding microsprinkler heads are considered in estimation of overlapping distribution pattern where 2 and 16 microsprinklers are considered in this study. Meanwhile the study considered different arrangement of microsprinklers for distance between 0.5 to 8m, the uniformity coefficients under overlapping irrigation laterals equipped with considering 16 microsprinklers were higher than 2 microsprinklers case.
