Two field experiments were conducted, during 200012001 and 200112002 seasons at the Experimental Farm (Abis) Faculty of Agriculture (Saba-Basha), Alexandria University, to investigate the effects of three plant densities, (70.000 or 84.000 and 105.000 plants/fed), Biofertilization inoculation Phosphorin, VA-¬ mycorrhizal and suberphosphate fertilizer application to soil on the growth (two growth stages: 65 and 95 days from sowing) and yield components of faba bean cultivar Giza 3. Increasing plant density (70.000 or 84.000 to 105.QOO plants/fed.) caused a significant increase plant height, number of branches, branches dry weight/plant and leaf area at the two growth stages in the two seasons. Meanwhile, it led to a significant decrease in the number of leaves and leaves dry weight/plant at the first stage of growth in the 2000/200 I season. The number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pod and seed yield/plant were significantly decreased with increasing plant densities. It signification exceeded seed and straw yields/fed, biological yield as well as phosphorus potassium uptake in both seasons.
