A filed experiment was conducted during 2001/2002 growing season at El-Kasr research station farm in Mersa Matrouh. It aimed to study the effect of wheat grains soaking in iron, manganese, zinc and copper solutions on yield and uptake of those elements by straw and grains of wheat plants under rainfall condition. The experiment was conducted with five replicates using complete randomized design. Grains soaking in Fe or Mn or Zn solutions gave greater bioyield of wheat than control (without soaking) and Fe treatment showed superior effect followed by Mn, Zn and Cu treatments.
