In: Egyptian Journal of Agricultural Research 2004.v.82(1)SISummary: Observations indicated that rice nurseries were subject to infestation by thrips in 1999, 2000 and 2001 seasons. This thrips insect pest was identified as Rorithrips traegaldhiTrybom. Examinations of catchl'S of water pan traps located in rice nurseries revealed also the l'Ccurrence of the predatory thrips, Aeolothrips sp. In addition, the pan traps caught the staphyilinids (Paederus alfierii Koch and t>hilontftus spp.), the anthocorid (Orius sp)., the chrysopid (Chrysoper./a carnea Steph.), coccinellids (Scymnusspp) and carabids (Tactj'Ssp. and Bembidionspp.).
