Two field experiments were conducted in Aly Mubarak Experimental farm at EL-Bustan sandy soils during two winter seasons (200012001) and (200112002). Three irrigation treatments (Irrigation with amount of water equal to potential evapotranspiration (ETp) values (determined by class A pan) every day (11), every two days (12), and every three days (h) were applied. The study aimed to estimate the irrigation schedule of two lentil cultivars in sandy soil under drip irrigation system. Also, to study the effect of different irrigation treatments on yield and yield components, applied irrigation water and water utilization efficiency of lentil crop at EI-Bustan area. The results revealed that there was a significant effect of drip irrigation treatments on the lentil yield and its components. The irrigation treatment every two days with amount of water equal to accumulate of evapotranspiration (ETp) gave highest seed yield (1.78 and 2.05 tIha) from Giza 370 lentil cultivar, while it was (1.62 and 1.81 tIha) from Sinai 1 lentil cultivar in the first and second seasons, respectively. Seasonal amount of applied irrigation water for the irrigation treatment every two days (12) were 999.6m3/fed. (23.8 cm) and 1024m3/fed. (24.4cm) under drip irrigation in the first and second seasons, respectively. The highest values of water utilization efficiency (0.75 and 0.84Kg lentil seed yieldlm3water applied) were obtained from Giza 370 cultivar when irrigated every two days in the first and second seasons, respectively.
