Subject(s): Online resources: In: Zagazig Journal of Agricultural Research 2004.v.31(4A)Summary: This work was carried out during two successive winter seasons of 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 at EI-Khattara Experimental Farm, Fac. Agric., Zagazig Univ., to study the effect of mineral NP (NP) and nitrobein (Nr) + phosphorein (Pr) on growth and plant chemical composition of garlic under sandy soil conditions. Supply of garlic plants with 100% mineral NP combined with 3kg Nr + 1.8 kg Pr , fed gave the tallest plant and recorded' maximum values of leaf number, neck and bulb diameter and total dry weight/plant. Addition of 100 8/8 NP only or with all Nr + Pr levels recorded maximum dry weight of roots, bulb and leaves in the first season , while addition l008kNP with 3kg Nr +1.8 kg Pr/fed recorded maximum dry weight of bulb and leaves in the second season. The uptake and total uptake. of NPK by pr6c plant were highest with addition of 1008/8 NP combined with 3kg Nr and 1.8 kg Pr or with 4.5 kg Nr +2.7 kg Pr 'fed with insignificant between tbeD1.
