Cows in the first group were fed control ration (Rl) consisted of 60% concentrate feed mixture (CFM), 25% berseem hay (BH) and 15% rice straw (RS). While, cows in the second group were fed R2 consisted of 60% CFM, 30% dried artichoke by-product (DAB) and 10% RS and those of the third group were fed R3 consisted of 60% CFM and 40% artichoke byproduct silage (SAB, on DM basis). The contents of CP, EE, NFE and ash were higher, while OM and CF were lower in ensiled than DAB. The contents of CP and NFE were higher, but CF and EE were lower in SAB compared with BH. While, the contents of OM and ash were nearly similar for SAB and BH. Ration 3 revealed the higher OM, CP, EE and NFE contents.
