OrganochJonn pesticides (OCPs) detected with higher concentration than organophosphates (OPPS) at aD sampling sites. Aldrin and lindane were detected with highel- frequency and concentration level than other compounds. The concentrll, tion levels of detected pesticides were much lower in outlets than at the intake points ofwater purification plants. water treatmeot itself may reduce or remove the pesticide residues from water. The concentration leve\ ofdetected pesticides in Kafr EI-Sheikh governorate still lower than the maximum residue Iirnits (MRLs).
