Cucumber, sweet pepper and hot pepper plants grown in an experimental plastic house were sprayed with fenitrothion (Sumithion 50% EC) and pirimiphos-methyl (Actellic 500/0 EC) at their recommended rates. Initial deposits of fenitrothion and pirimiphos-methyl on and in cucumber, sweet pepper and hot pepper fruits were 2.32 and 9.14 ppm, 4.46 and 10.16 ppm and 12.11 and 12.16 ppm, respectively. Under greenhouse conditions fenitrothion and pirimiphos-methyl had shorter residue half-life values (RLso) which were 14.4 and 14.4 hours, 22 and 21.6 hours and 18 and 19.2 hours on cucumber, sweet pepper and hot pepper fruits, respectively.
