This study was carried out during 2000 and 2001 seasons on the postharvest behavior of Abd El-Razik annona fruits (Annona squamosa) during cold storage. Fruits were subjected to the following treatments: dipping in ascorbic acid solution (500 ppm) for 5 ntinutes, fruit waxing or wrapping the fruits by shrink film as well as the control fruits, then stored at 10 ± 20C and 85-90% RH. Among the different treatments. wrapping with shrink film was the best for reducing fruit decay and weight loss and for increasing the storage life. However, TSS and total sugars increased as storage days progressed, whereas titratable acidity and ascorbic acid contents decreased.
