The technique includes establishing a nursery either by planting single buds in plastic bags, or directly in the soil. At certain age, the seedlings transformed to the main field. A mechanical transplanter is reqUired. A single transplanter was developed and tests. The machine consists of a transplanting mechanism, powered by a ground wheel. A large tray was used to hold the seedlings. A labor fed the seedlings to some funnels which place it in bottom of the furrow which was opened by the furrow opener of the machine, Soil was pressed from both sides to cover the seedlings root.
