Studies on the behaviour of new selected lines of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp) in different environments [electronic resource].

This study was carried out during three successive summer seasons of 1998, 1999 and 2000 in three locations, two of them in Nubaria, that represented the newly reclaimed land (sand and calcareous soil) in Northern Egypt and the third one was, in Abbies (clay soil). Three new high yielding lines,. selected out of thirteen pure lines were originated from cultivar Cream-7. This investigation aimed to evaluate the behaviour of these three lines and to follow up their adaptation under nine different environmental conditions (3 locations x 3 years), compared with the original cultivar Cream-7 and another cultivar Dokki-331 in comparing with eight characters.
