Activities of invertase (α-1-2glucosidase),treha- lase (α-1-1 glucosidae) cellobiase (β-1-4 glucos- idase) and protease in the midgut of 3rd instar larvae of Cephalopina titillator and Lucilia cupri- na were determined. Homogenates from third in- star larval midgut showed the invertase, trehalase, cellobiase, and proteases activity in L cuprina were more than that of C.titillator and upon using T.test it was found that there was a very high sig- nificant difference between the activities of the mentioned enzymes in the two insects. The enzyme activities may be affected by the different habitats of the larvae.
