The biological treatments resulted in significant (P<O.OI) increases in dry matter and crude protein contents as well as in vitro dry matter and organic matter disappearances (IVDMD and IVOMD). On the other hand, a significant decrease in crude fiber (CF) content (P<O.Ol) was recorded. Fungal treatments decreased hemicellulose and cellulose contents in all wastes used (P<O.OI). The biologically treated banana waste achieved the highest values for organic matter (OM), ether extract (EE) and nitrogen free extract (NFE) contents as well as IVDMD and IVOMD.
